Has anyone tested adding a LOTR shaker with the Color DMD? Any issues or reasons why it would not work?

Quoted from markmon:3) Install display ROM 10.0 into your DMD controller board on the back side of the DMD. You must run the 10.0 display ROM along with the 10.0 or 10.02 code.
That's what I was hoping except that Step 3: in the original instructions referenced the display ROM so I wanted confirmation, since I already have the Color DMD on order
I just received the Red Tremor Shaker and it did not come with a control board, only a red wire and a black wire, attached directly to the motor. I assume the red wire attaches to the coin door and the black wire attaches to the fifth (empty) position on the backbox?
Buehler?
Anyway, I can confirm that the Red Tremor (without control board) works when the red wire is connected to the coin door and the black wire is connected to the backboard as described in the original post. On my machine I traced the red wire from the coin door to the rear of the back box and intercepted the connection there (see photo). This way I was able to install the shaker in the rear of the cabinet and run the supplied black wire into the backbox without running out of wire length. I also think it is a bit cleaner.
My only issue is that that shaker is too strong. As another member suggested, I will attempt to change the angle of the arms to lessen the effect. These "old" Stern machines can't seem to take that much vibration. The glass and translight rattles like mad in its current configuration.
