I want to install a shaker in my standard LOTR. Coin Taker has the motor kit. That Pinball Place has the 10.02 ROM and the 10.0 display ROM. Pinbits no longer has the PAL chip. I can't find anyone that has this. I tried Google. Pinwitch is in Germany. Anyone know where to get the PAL chip? Thanks

Pinbits now has the PAL chips again for LOTR. Got it today along with the 2 chips from That Pinball Place. Waiting for shaker from Cointaker.

Just got the shaker installed and working. The Markmon post was a great help. The pictures helped a lot. The pin must be reset to factory reset though or the motor will not run. Once it is working you can change setting to your liking. Balrog hits are more violent than the other shots that shake!

I thought my PAL was bad when I could not get my motor working. But luckily it was only because I had not restored to factory settings.

Just took out the shaker from CT and replaced it with one from Pinball Life. This one is perfect. No more excess shake.

That Pinball Place had the ROMs and Pinbits had the PAL.

Pinball Life has the correct Stern shaker. Cointaker motor is too violent.

What is PWM? I need to sell my CT motor.

Mine will not restart.

My CT is not the red tremor. I did not know to order the Stern at the time.

Pinbits has the model number LTLEPAL chip you need. Then you have to reset the pin to factory setting to get it to recognize the motor.

I put the shaker in my standard LOTR. It was easy once you get all the chips. I like the look of the standard better.
The only issue I had was the pin must be set back to factory setting to get the shaker recognized.

Pinball Life now sells a complete kit to add a shaker in a standard LOTR.

When I did mine the one chip was extremely hard to find. I kept looking and a long time later someone was making them again. I bought it immediately.
