Good timing - looking in to doing this. I understand there are different parts needed but is the kit worth 250? When looking at piecing it together seems much cheaper.. what am I missing?

Ok thanks for confirming I was wondering if I was missing something

Quoted from Astill:

way cheaper to piece it together. roms and pal chip $36 shipped , shaker is $100.

I just got my parts to give this a go. Here is what I am attempting:

1. Shaker Motor: https://www.pinballlife.com/shaker-motor-kit-rev-b-for-most-stern-sam-system-games.html

2. ROM and PAL chips (10,02 cpu , 10. 0 display , gold pal chip and shipping) - from Astill seen above

Thanks for posting these pictures and notice I’m about to do mine!

Quoted from Morgoth00:

Just an update- decided to risk it and cut the connector off the red/white wire and hooked that to the interlock with a splitter, for power. And then cut the connector off the brown/white and hooked that to J16 for trigger. Also used the little capacitor board. At first I thought it wasn't working, but once I disconnected the Pinsound woofer in the cab then I could feel it. It's amazing how much rumble the pinsound speaker causes that it can hide the effects of a shaker! Shaker working good now
