I'd fix the sound card driver error and try again. Looks like you are missing a windows sound card driver....

Quoted from MightyGrave:

Thank you for this "installation guide" but when i try to test the game (27 - 28) i get following message (see attachment).
Hope you can help me

So it looks like the game can't find the config.yaml. This should be in the c:\ccc\cactuscanyon folder
verify in the c:\ccc\cactuscanyon folder you have config.yaml, cc.py,game.py,assets.py and tracking.py,cc_machine.yaml,ccc-update.py
you should also have a bunch of subfolders (cc_modes, config, dmd, dots,ep,highscore, images, lampshows, procgame, share and sounds)

Next I would call cc.py from the cactuscanyon folder like this since python and pinproc should be in your path when you installed them.
cd c:\ccc\cactuscanyon (now you are in the games main folder)
python cc.py
or just cc.py should also run it.

Hi!
I have set the computer up and done everything in the how to install CCC guide until point 27 and then this error
happens - what am I doing wrong?
Thanks for any help!

So copy the config.yaml to the cactuscanyon folder. Change directory to this folder and issue the command Python cc.py

What happens?

Quoted from Nepi23:

It seems I am missing from cactuscanyon-folder: config.yaml (it is in the users' folder /users/ccc/.pyrocgame/ though), cc_machine.yaml and ccc-update.py.
Other files and folders I do have. Strange.

Yes, it looks like you are missing some components of pyprocgame.
There used to be an all in one installer, not sure where it went but here is the main dev page for the framework. Install whatever you are missing and try to launch cc.py again.

http://pyprocgame.pindev.org/install.html

Quoted from Nepi23:

It is quite a similar result... Please see attached.
I wonder if the problem is in my Python install?
What I did is that I have only installed "ProcToolkit.exe" by running it in a folder called P-ROC, but nothing more.
The guide does not point to any other prerequisities, but could it be that some other Python installs
should be performed before proceeding with the guide on this page?

I didn't realize skeleton game framework would be 100% compatible with the old pyprocgame for ccc. Thanks Gerry.

If you are referring to running the game in COLOR on an LCD monitor, I recall there was a small update to libpinproc and pypinproc for CCC to fix some uncolored scenes.

I'll look on my hard drive for it.

Quoted from Nepi23:

Thank you for excellent tips!
I did this:
1. Installed proc_env_installer_wHD_1.27.exe
2. Installed pyprocgame with this command:
python setup.py install
3. Installed Python Imaging Library 1.1.7 for Python 2.7
from here:
http://www.pythonware.com/products/pil/
And now the CCC-simulation seems to work. I do notice that before some screens there is a lot of white dots on display, it might be that I am still missing something or some resources for Python, but I am not sure what else I would need. Nevertheless, the simulation is up and running.
I am grateful for any additional tips in relation to what other possible resources I might need here.
