I need to replace the z-bomb bezel on a Hyperball, and I have some 22 gauge (.025") stainless sheet on the way. What is the best way to cleanly cut a rectangle out of that stainless sheet? A grinder does not really seem to work without discoloring it.

    Thoughts?

Take it to a metal shop. Throw them a few bucks to put it on their shear. Or you can purchase a hand held power shear that you may never use again

If you’re ever in the Louisville or Florence area I have access to sheet metal shops in both cities. It’ll be a perfect cut.

I would draw up a simple sketch and take it to a local fabrication shop. They could have it cut in minutes for you. They would most likely have the material on hand as well.
