Alright, before I start chipping the bulb or bashing it to pieces, what's the best method to remove one of these spotlight bulbs in No Good Gofers?

The sucker ain't budging right now. Trying to pull it with some pliers but the bulb is chipping.

Thanks for the help!

Bulb pliers is the best way, I finally bought a set after a few of these.
Stick a shooter tip on it and see if you can get a grip on it.
Lay a towel under to catch the pieces if you bust it horsing it around.

Just replace the spot assembly. The reflector is badly corroded and the socket is probably trash.

They are $2.95 at PBL with leads.

or $2.45 without leads. (reflector and socket)

My scared stiff goody bag had a small piece of clear rubber hose like you get at a hardware store for sliding over the spotlight bulbs to change them. Probably 10cents worth and its handy to have around. Just take a bulb to the hardware store.

This is the solution you were actually looking for.

Bit of duct tape wrapped around bulb and long enough to grab ... Pulls right out

I had this exact problem a couple of weeks ago. I ended up using a small pair of rubber-tipped craft clamps. They worked perfectly.

Pretty sure the reflector snaps on. Just unsnap the chrome reflector and the bulb will come out with it.

On Sterns, not B/W the socket and hood are one piece.
If the bulb melts to it and you do get it out you have to scrape the inside of the hood to get the new one in there.
Best to just replace it.

BTW. I went the easy route on this and took a fondue fork and bent the tips. I`m sure most people have access to one of these. And it works like a charm.
