I do a lot of touchup paint and normally just mix in gloss or varnish until it "looks right."

However, I have a cool color matching tool coming in to get paint codes, but have to select the "glossiness" of the paint when ordering from the store. In general, are we looking for high gloss paint on the cabinet and on the playfield? I'm just curious as I am about to order the first set of "matched" paint samples overnight and have to select the correct "glossiness" level.

    Thanks!

I have an acrylic paint set. It does not state the glossiness of the paints, but has the perfect amount of "shine". I guess I just got lucky.

If it’s just pint and you’re not clear coating I’d suggest ordering glossy and adding some flattening agent to match a cleaned and polished adjacent section of playfield or cabinet.
