As I read the threads I find most interesting - particularly those speculating on when new games will come out and what those games will be - I find myself wondering if the manufacturers also read these posts. I know American Pinball does. I believe Spooky does as well. But what about the others? And if they do, how much does it affect what they're doing with their games (designing, marketing, etc.)? And how much does it affect what games they decide to make and when they will release their games?

Less than some here think but more than they care to admit.

Like any industry I’m sure they want to understand their customers likes and dislikes. That feedback undoubtedly goes into their thought process for the next game, features or whatever. But much their also in the loop on new tech being developed where customer feedback doesn’t really apply.

I doubt anyone is hanging around when things turn overly negative. Not much use wading through post that are no longer constructive.

Assume they read everything you post. You’d be surprised.

Pinside is customer feedback , nothing more
none of them are going to change their business model based solely on a pinside post

I’d be shocked if it wasn’t like their main source of customer insight. If I worked for stern marketing I’d be here every day.

More than they should. Almost all of the "advice" they get here is bad.

If they did I doubt many of the clunkers recently produced would have seen the light
