Cheap

Looks really dirty but should clean up decent with the exception of the PF wear at "I" and "N" of Pinball. Not to uncommon for a routed game but calling it out as that would effect price and resale. I only see one board being shown. It makes me wonder why they took a picture of that board but not the others. I'd investigate to make sure all is good there and if it's working correctly then it's not a bad deal (probably a fair starting price), especially for your region.

3600US plus shipping from USA to Australia?, thats gonna be a lot. FWIW they were 3,500US brand new and that really wasn't that long ago...

FWIW, I have passed on a FG pin that was cheaper and looked better, but the market in Europe is not comparable to USA (and Australia for that matter).

If I understand correctly pinball machines are harder to find & more expensive in Australia so I think I would go for it if I was OK with the theme & gameplay.

I don't know "values" on newer pins but according to my research it looks like it should be a $4200 to $4600 machine here in the US. So I would think anything under $4000 would be a great deal in Australia but since I don't know the market I can't say for sure.

Regardless of "how great of a deal it is" the most important thing in my eyes is if it is a machine you plan on keeping do you like the title & gameplay. If you are buying it to "flip" sometime down the road $3600 doesn't seem like a bad price but if you are buying it to keep than $3600 seems like a great deal.

For amazing it would have to start with a 4.

This is regular price range (5-6k) for a stock standard player's condition working FG down here.

Wear at the pinball inserts would indicate heavy routed use.

You cant compare US pricing with Australia, as it would cost double by the time you ship it, pay shipping GST etc.

what I can say is that seller sells the bottom end of the market, wants cash no Tax Invoice etc. Operates from Home, doesn't sell parts and doesn't have a full time tech who works full time.

I'll agree with To Many Pins. It's hard for us in the US to advise on what is a good or great deal as the market is very different where you are at. In the US, I'm sure there would be a buyer for that game at $3600 but to me that would be more along the line of a fair price based off it's condition and previous use. If in the US and someone bought it at that price I wouldn't feel like they stole the machine nor would I feel like they got taken. Just feels like a fair price for both the selling and buyer. It also feels like a price, as a buyer, I would expect some minor issue. Like the PF wear and probably some cabinet blemishes.

sold mine for 4400 last summer. thats a good deal even with the "n" wear it has.

Seems like a “good” deal to me.

Free tip: if you don’t jump on “good” deals and only wait for “great” ones, you won’t be buying too many games. The good deals don’t last, and the great deals disappear like a fart in the wind.

Family guy does not come up too often for sale. It’s a really fun pin and at that price it won’t last long

Yes they do sell fast, purchased mine Christmas Eve 20 minutes after it was listed here on pinside. He had lots of interest from others but I was first in line.

I don’t know if people were getting confused by the aus price difference, but $5500 usd - this is NOT a deal. $3600 usd, this is a very fair deal. Not great, not bad. But very fair.

And FGY is a funny bad ass pin. Very cool game, with really good code and rules.

No, that’s what I meant. The first posters in this thread were saying it’s not a good deal. At $5500 usd, they’re right, not a good deal. At $3600 usd it’s a very fair deal. I owned a FGY for 4 years, so I say the OP goes for it.

good deal for where i live, go for it, looks in great shape, little dirty, fun game if you like the show at all.

Back in February, I found a mint one out on Long Island for a friend of mine, $4,500.
It really is a fun and polished game.

If you pick it up, install a cliff on the scoop. I have one on both my Family Guy and Shrek and it can really prevent a lot of wear and tear.
