With the falling dollar in most countries, What is the current price for a NIB Stern where you live?
A Kiss pro here in New Zealand now costs $9200
Stern pro's use to be $8k here.
Has anyone else seen a sharp increase?
I know you are probably not looking for U.S. Pricing but my Star Trek Pro was $4800 shipped to my door.
Quoted from dr_nybble:And I think we pay pretty much MSRP as well, not a lot of discounting?
Exactly because Starburst has a monopoly in Canada. Sure you have Nitro in BC but the shipping pretty much cancels all the savings.

Playdium sells pins too:
Quoted from RJW:Cineplex/Starburst and the Playdium Store are all the same company.
Ah ok. Damnit. Big Pinball is running roughshod over this country!
Quoted from flashinstinct:The MSRP for a Stern Pro in Canada is $6500 and then add the tax...in Ontario you have to add 13%.
Update: Kiss Pro now listed at $6600 on their site.
So that's ~$7450, tax in, assuming you get a "deal" on free delivery.
That's about 6k USD. For a Pro!
Quoted from kesselrig:Kiss Pro = $7950 in Australia
I got a new quote this week ... 9.8k NZ or $6591 US..
Stern must be selling well in the USA, outside of the USA they have been priced off the market, time to find some more local B/W pins
Its a shame as they are definitely becoming harder and harder to justify, my Metallica was $7820 (NZ$) and now Kiss is $9800...?
That means a price increase of 25% in less than 2 years
I think its only going to get worse with the way the exchange rate is going

And taking longer to save the extra funds.
Kiss pro is being advertised by Nitro Amusements in B.C. for $6595 + 12% tax, a tidy $7386 cdn. (don't even want to think what a LE would set you back!! ) At least that price includes shipping, delivery, setup, and extended warranty.
So working through the quoted prices posted here for a New KISS Pro, converted to U.S. dollars...
USA - $4700 USD including taxes, delivered.
Canada - $7450 CAN = $5900 USD including taxes (maybe free delivery)
Australia - $7950 AUD = $6000 USD including tax (plus Delivery)
New Zealand - $9800 NZD = $6600 USD including Tax (ex depot)
Finland - 5800 Euro = $6480 USD including tax, plus delivery
Norway - $5582 USD (+25% tax) = $6977 USD (plus delivery?)
Dubai - 6200 USD delivered (based on TWD pro)
UK - £4999 = $7740 USD including tax and delivery.
Brazil - 32.000 reais = $10,122 USD ... We have a new leader!!!
I'll update the list when new prices are posted.

Good times being at the bottom of the world aye?

Shipping from USA to NZ is cheaper than to Australia.
Maybe time for some parallel importing.

AFAIK those prices include VAT but not delivery. Probably more accurate price point is what the current in stock titles TWD and WWE sell for (5995€), that Mustang price is from the times of much better USD-EUR exchange rate.
Our Finnish distributor currently sells NIB Sterns for 5790€ (4669€ excluding taxes).
Quoted from Nepi23:Kiss Pro is 5790 EUR, LE 9150 EUR (prices include VAT). Roughly 6400 USD and 10115 USD.

Group buy options maybe (thinking for Spiderman VE)?
Kiss Pro advertised in the UK for £4995 including tax, delivery, setup and 12 months warranty, which is about US$7740

Pretty much. the KISS LE is £7000! Done buying new now.

Australia includes GST but excludes shipping. I miss parity in the exchange rate...

Is there a logical reason for this? I would have thought lower shipping volume into NZ would result in the opposite of this. I like the suggestion of a group buy on the next vault edition
Quoted from kesselrig:I miss parity in the exchange rate.
Yeah we had a few good years ourselves in Canada.
My whole life growing up in Canada the Canadian dollar was always 20-30% below the US. Then we were at parity or better, and during the last few years when I got into pinball things were good, but now things are different, and I don't think it'll be changing again anytime soon.

Auckland is 2000km closer to Los Angeles for starters.

I was lucky when I bought my ST pro NIB. The Canadian dollar was at par with the US. Oct 2013.
$5500 CDN total and included a shaker motor
A bit lucky when I bought my IM VE it was just a bit over par. I paid $6000 CDN. Total Which included a shaker motor.
But now, no way am I buying a NIB Stern. The price is just too high.
I could get 2-3 good to great pins for the price of one now.
And for those that say wait till code is finished before you buy. ST pro would now cost me $2000 more than I paid 2 years ago for NIB. And its still not finished. And wouldnt include a shaker motor.

Pretty much what I decided a while back.

That's because people (including you) ignored the advice. Stern won't keep jacking up the price of half-finished games if people stop buying them.

Well ST was my first NIB, and first Stern game. And I honestly never knew about how long code took from them. Or the issues with it. As I never read any Posts about Stern since I didnt own one.
After getting it and finally reading some Stern posts on pinside. I found out what I was in for.
And to be honest this whole wait before you buy mindset didnt really come about until. XMEN, MET, ACDC, and finally ST were released but not finished.
But thanks. Im still glad I got an amazing pin for $2000 less than it cost now. And I think anyone would be happy with that choice.
And heres hoping NIB pins start to sell for less again.
Quoted from HENSBROOKER:Stern in The Netherlands....
We have the same official prices in France but I am confident you can find Stern pros for a bit less than that (incl sales tax).
