I recently picked up a TOM with some pretty bad board work that happened at some point. The GI connector was removed pretty sloppily, lifting several traces along the way. Whomever did the "repair" connected the power to the GI lines directly and put in-line fuses in. I've replace GI connectors before but never on a board this bad. At what point would it be better to get a new board? At $300 it is not cheap and I also try to keep things as original as possible. The game is a keeper for me. I dont think the board is beyond repair but I'm not sure if its more trouble than its worth.

I'm glad its not too far gone or more trouble than its worth. I did not remove the header pins - someone else did. It seems like such a weird way to fix it but there are lots of examples of odd repairs in pinball games. Sometimes it seems like tempting fate to mess with it if its working but I would rather have it working the right way. I'm having issues with the eddy sensors as well so I'm trying to find if there is some other damage that is causing one of the boards to not get power.
