I wonder if Sys80's get an unnecessary bad rap... I found a BH that needed shopping but it had mylar the whole time so the playfield was pretty nice. I got the recommended mods all done, and it's a very nice machine that's run error-free for years at this point. You can buy repro boards for them if you run into real issues.
You shouldn't let rumors and hear-say keep you from something you want.
