How long will it take to move 40 machines?
    + lots of spare parts

Later this year I will be moving house. I will have to move about 40 games.
Only going 10 minutes up the road
It will just be two people
I will rent a truck, but that will still take multiple trips
They will be going from shed to shed (no basements in Australia)

Yeah, I know, hard to give an answer.
But from your experience, will it take more than a day?

    Thanks
    Pete

How many pins can you fit in the truck at a time?

I will only be able to get a small truck, I'mguessing 6 or 8 pins per trip

Tear down and strap 2hrs. Move 4hrs, set up 2-4hrs.

I'd say full day to full day and a half. You might get burned out and want to rest until the next day.

Yeah, I am thinking I will have to allow a full day
No point rushing and breaking a backglass

Yeah, I'd be concentrating on pulling down and moving all of the machines in one full day.

Once the pins are at the new location, you can set up the following day, or leave it for a few days if you're over the whole process. I know I would be after moving 40 machines!

This way, the truck can go back, as you won't need it again. Maybe even consider moving the parts separately by car either before or after, so you can focus on moving the machines.

That's how i'd approach it anyway, but I only have 8 pins.......

    Good luck!

Having recently done this myself with 30 pins, here's what I learned:

Get a truck with a liftgate big enough to do them all in one trip.

I had to do two moves, as I was doing a major renovation to the space that already housed my collection. So, pins went out into storage, renovation got done, pins came back. When taking them out, I used my trailer that could haul 6 pins at a time and made multiple trips. By the time you count in all that extra travel time making multiple trips, It took two full days to move them for two guys and we were beat at the end.

For the move back, I rented a 26' box truck with a liftgate. We started at about 8am. By 2pm we were finished and hadn't really exhausted ourselves. I'll never move much of anything again without a liftgate truck.

can you put wheels on the shed? I think moving the shed would be easier. Just joking. Good luck with the move. I did 9 outta my basement moved to new location, took me a good 6 hrs but I was drinking beers lol.
