Can anyone tell me what the original length was for the legs on a Data East Tales From The Crypt machine?

The manual shows a #535-5020-30 which Marco crosses to a #500-5921-50 30.5" leg. It has been suggested that the original legs were 28.5" and that I can use a Bally/Williams 28.5" leg.

Which is correct? I know that I can use either, but I would like to get it as close to original as possible.

Thanks for the help!

Mine are 28.5" not sure what's at Marco's

Long enough to touch the ground.

... Sorry. Couldn't resist the Lincoln quote.

28.5 powder coated black and they are supposed to have a little extra of a flaired angle because of the shaker motor.

Rick,

That's the problem. Some of the legs do not touch the ground and I do not know what to do about it. I was trying to stretch the short ones but I have had no luck. I am now considering cutting the long ones.

John,

Do you know if the Bally/Williams legs have the necessary flair?

Thanks to all for the help!

I personally think the Bally/Williams legs lack any real flair. How about powder coating to add some flair?

I never can tell the difference in the legs and I'm pretty sure most of my games don't have the proper legs anyway. One of my JP legs is shorter than the rest, so I think I have the same problem as you. I've ordered a set of Bally/Williams legs, powder coated in red for my JP from Pinball Life. I assume it's supposed to have the same legs as TFTC. The Bally/Williams legs are at least the correct height, and I'm assuming they'll fit. I don't want this game going any higher in my basement as I already can't fit the topper on...

The whole time the legs should be on.

None do to my knowledge. If some are touching and some are not check to see if you have different lengths and then see if some are flared and some are not...that can make a difference too. I'm assuming the levelers are not taking care of the problem either ?

I just installed the Bally/Williams legs from Pinball Life on my JP. Seem like they'll work just fine.

Thanks for the help!

I went with the 28.5" Bally/Williams legs from Pinball Life as well.
