This is sweet. If you get sick of a game, you sell the art work and playfield to someone else and pop in a new game. The only problem I see with it is lack of titles. If Heighway can produce 2 or 3 titles a year at a cost of $4000 then the pinball revolution will have begun. For the cost I would buy one of these and I don't see myself buying a NIB Stern any time soon.

I believe they already have their next 3 titles picked & in some phase of development from what I understand. The goal is to produce at least 3 titles a year. They are Not a boutique pinball company, they are positioning themselves to be a major player in the industry.
Imagine trading your playfield kits with other people in your local pinball community, like Nintendo cartridges back in the 80's!

Everything in life has downsides, what is the downside to this? Can they still build playfields as full featured as WOZ?

They already have.

Since it is the entire playfield that pops out, obviously they can make any kind of game they like. The only "downsides" I can think of are:

-engineering costs associated with the process
-Things like the LCD are swapped with the playfield, so there are some redundant costs

But so far Heighway is making competitively priced games.

Exactly! That sounds awesome.

A potential down side for me is they are based in GB, not in the USA.

As long as they don't use Lucas, I'm ok!

Can the playfield fit underneath the machine when not in use? Could be a good option for the space limited, like myself.
