GNR really only works in a home environment. If you don't have everything working and if you can't hear the callouts, music etc its a bust. At home its a freaking blast to play. Thats the thing with most games, its fun to play on location...but to really know a game you need to play it at home (or someones home). I am lucky to have a pretty good (semi) local spot with Flippers in Grandy NC, they have an incredible collection and are mostly well maintained, however GZ is mostly broken and had I not played another version half of the magic would have been lost on me.
