Transformer heat question:

I'm just wondering how hot the AC transformer usually gets in a pin. I've got a Williams Earthshaker (sys 11) and I've noticed the transformer was feeling earlier this week it seemed rather warm when I worked on the shaker motor after plugging the machine.

So today I left it one for a few hours in attract mode and measured 121F (49C) on the block of metal using an instant read meat thermometer that surrounds the transformer.

I don't have an IR thermometer. I know some heating is normal but is this within normal it's hot enough I can feel the wood on the base board is getting warm under the cabinet.
