Last year I heard there was a pinball repair simulation game coming soon. Hadn't heard anything recently, so I looked it up. I thought it was going to be pretty accurate until I saw this. Unless there's a machine out there that I don't know of. Love how the backbox hinge doesn't matter.

Game Dev has obviously never seen a real machine in person. Here he is putting the glass on.

That opening side panel on Haunted House is genius. Doesn't exist, but Genius. Thanks!

That’s awesome Lloyd. I was happy to learn that technique for working on my lawnmower.

Wonder if this game will simulate the really great aspects of pinball repair. Like searching 20 minutes for a tiny damn screw that had dropped into a tangle of wires somewhere.

    Oboy! That's my favorite mini-game!

I thought it was only me that did that.

"This next machine was just discovered in the back of a cargo container stuck in Customs for eight years. The playfield is covered with what appear to be six varieties of mold. The cabinet has been 'restored' with several layers of latex house paints, and the GI strings appear to be Christmas tree lights from the 1960s. No one's dared to even open the backbox yet. Have fun!"

I would totally buy a Wario or Dumb Ways to Die style game with mini games based on pinball frustrations.

Fish the spotlight LED out of the ball trough
Find the tiny screw or washer that went flying because you have the playfield elevated.
Be the quickest t answer a craigslist ad that turns out to be a scam.
Figure out where the power button is on different generations of game.

Extra hard mode could get blurry simulating working on games after drinking too much.

I want a game that explores the dark moral choices of pinball repair. "This is a Twilight Zone machine in mint condition. Your client wants to make an 'artistic statement'. Paint the whole thing black. Yes, including the playfield and the backglass. Crush the clock, to demonstrate the arbitrariness and transience of mortal time. At the climax of an upcoming art festival, the machine will be played for precisely 43 seconds, then set on fire. Do you: Accept the order? Reject the order? Accept the order, then strip all the under-playfield parts and sell them on eBay? Accept the order, then substitute a 1978 'Disco Fever' machine and hope nobody notices under all that paint?"

Repair simulators can be educational and fun, but that is just a turd. Why did they waste their time making nonsense??

I like the part in the trailer where he delivers the machine back to its owner and just shoves it against the wall.

A realistic minigame could be arguing with the client about why the repairs to their game would cost more than the game is worth.

Been keeping an eye on this game for a while. If the trailer is indication, I should be able to get a few good laughs at how bad this will be.

Curious if someone stumbles onto this game, loves how easy it is to repair a machine, decided he wants to try it out himself on a real machine and then goes to try to slide the side of the cabinet down, or pull off the playfield glass vertically.

I think I may get this game, just laugh it too.

Not me. I take a cursory look and if it isn't visible I just grab one off the shelf.
