Was at my local Round 1 this eve and played a few pins. Noticed this on a Star Trek. Can’t figure this one out. Never seen something like this. Played a ghostbusters and then Star Trek. After ghost busters, the ST okay field seems awful empty. Just my take. Enjoy the photo

Even more odd is the fact that you were playing a Star Wars and thought you were playing a Star Trek.

Multi ball. Airball Flys into the slingshot after being activated by another ball. Happens more than you'd think.

And even more as the rings get loose/worn.

On some Classic Ballys I have seen finish nails placed under the slingshots. . . likely to keep balls from getting stuck back in the day.

Yep, that's why they are there.
It would cost Stern a few extra cents to do this, hence that's why it's not done.

Sorry. Star Wars. My mistake

I'm betting the ball de-materialized from the DW down the row and re-materialized in this game.

Good news the plastic did not shatter.

My favorite is when you realize a ball is missing and you find one stuck to the speaker magnet. Was it YOUR ball or an extra one in the game and your ball is still stuck on the PF somewhere. There's no WAY you an have that much fun in Pacman. Pinball is awesome!

Needs a tighter rubber ring. Or one size smaller.

ThT happens on my AC/DC Vault edition all the time. And only the sling under the cannon.

i operate many of my games, so if i have one that does this often enough, i'll do what lloyd said and replace the standard 2 1/2" slingshot rubber w a 2". doesn't seem to have much gameplay effect, but saves me from having to open it up and recover the ball 3X a day.

I'd try a 2 1/4 first.

It would also chip their cheapass clearcoat.
