I like to try to keep things looking original, but nearly $200 just on posts for a low-value EM game is a tough pill to swallow. I think I might pass in that case and just use plastic posts. The most important thing is that it flips, so if some of the cosmetic aspects of the game aren't perfect on a player's machine, I don't think it's really a big deal.

I wouldn't paint the posts. The paint will just come off due to the type of plastic and ball impacts.
