Covid has completely turned these numbers. My 4-5 usual working/restored games that were highlights at family and friend gatherings has died. Our last gathering was 2019 Thanksgiving. Usually had a Memorial Day, July 4th, a couple other summer gatherings which never happened in 2020. I used to wax and fine tune before each. Now they sit barely getting played. My joy was playing my daughter on my Xenon I've had it 20 years and she grew up playing it.
I spend 80% now fixing games to resell or on a customer's PF swap, 5% looking for more projects to restore, 5% messaging my local pin buddies, 5% listing pinball parts on eBay and just 5% playing a game. And that's a game I'm planning to sell. Playing a game by myself, that I have already played 1K times, now alone in my basement lost it's appeal. Without family, playing my games isn't as fun.
Hopefully this year will be better.
