I'm setting up an EBD LE later on. Never dealt with one of these funky cabinet 80s Ballys before.
Anything I need to know? Or is it just the usual remove the backglass, put in the bolts kinda thing?
The head is still wired to the cabinet, folded over and wrapped. Thanks!

If you need to remove head then it is a bit odd. Take out back glass, reach in and pull 2 levelers to release the score panel and then you can lift out the red panel and pull forward the score display section to pull wires and bolts.
Not much to it after that.
Easiest would be to move it in a van where you dont even have to remove the head.
I already have the game. Head is unbolted, folded over, and plastic wrapped. Today I'm gonna put it on legs and set up the head. All the connectors are still connected so it's just a matter of bolting the head on.
He was going to remove the head altogether but said it was "funky" to do so which I thought strange. I fear the unknown.

I still think these cabs are pretty hideous but I'm psyched to finally have an EBD after all these years.

Looks like someone already replaced all the caps (they all look new). Still no sound, and in test I get some sound and speech but it quickly goes staticky. So like I said, probably not something I want to deal, with, especially with the possibility someone else already mucked it up. Plenty of chips and other stuff on this 35-year old board so I'm probably not gonna be the one to figure it out.
Exactly. Not sure there's really a safe strategy on this game.
I prefer going for the drops early to build up some bone and then working the left orbit and the inlines.
Like he said every left orbit shot is going into the pops, and then it's hold on to your ass time!
I'm warming up to this oddball cab.
Mostly because this game has the smallest footprint of any in my place, where space is at a premium. It's not as deep as any other pin, nor as wide. It's basically a woodrail.
The fact that it helped me get an EBD for under $2K is nice also.
Had no idea they had THREE runs of this game. Having owned a Fireball Classic, I would think that that version would be the least desirable. Bally was cutting every corner imaginable by 1984, those cabinets and connectors are total garbage.
