So I just received a replacement plastic for a broken piece on my Star Trek machine. The replacement plastic came in a "Laserific" bag and is far from clear. I ordered replacement parts like this for my WCS as well and they also came in opaque, so I'm pretty sure this is how they all come... How do you make these things clear? I am thrilled that I can get replacement pieces but need them to match what is on the playfield... Any advice? When I ran into this problem last time on the WCS the answer was to essentially put them under flame. I completely ruined it last time. I am open to suggestions.

That doesn’t still have the protective plastic layer(s) on it, does it?

    That’s all I’ve got....

Peel the plastic off, it will look much better. If you have to make one, do it with lexan from home depot and cut with a dremel to size.

Sure looks like the plastic protection layer is still on there. You can see a bit of the separation near the post hole

And most likely it has it on both sides.

Peel off the protective plastic film on both sides.

new guy lesson learned! lol! and don't try to flame anything you plan on using if you have no experience in it, things can get ugly fast. practice on old crap you don't need.
