I understand what you are trying to say, but I think you chose the wrong show. The guys on American Pickers rarely buy pinball machines because they know there is no margin to make money unless you are an expert. The show is obviously staged but pin prices are pretty accurate. The crazy prices people like your seller get are mainly from eBay items that are priced so high they don't sell, ie other unrealistic sellers.
