How do I get my Laseriffic AC/DC topper to change bright to dark like this video . i like the effect.

I got mine installed but it's all just solid red light. even the light shining up on the train is red. on the back there are 3 control buttons labeled "light", "mode", & "Speed" but none of them seem to do anything. I've tried pushing them all individually, multiple times, & tried holding them in. not sure what I'm doing wrong. topper came w/ directions to install it but nothing about controlling it. is it possible the control buttons aren't being used any more? I checked their site & it's not mentioned at all.

thanks

here's my all red topper

Quoted from Lermods:

That controller should allow for brightness adjustment (middle button) and different fading/flashing modes, the speed of which is adjusted with the speed button. The light button makes it lit solid and cancels the flashing/fading effects. You can’t control color with that type of remote.

thanks, I'll try again when I get home from work but I couldn't get it into any modes other that lit constant on.

well, I very patiently tried every combination of the buttons i coculd think of and nothing changes. it just stays solid lit at the same brightness.

laseriffic_ct , should the controls on my AC/DC topper do anything? I mean it's beautiful as is but I'd love if the flame changed brightness or flickered.

The 12-24v end is on the load side (goes to the light) & the led end is on the power side. If that's backwards, I certainly could flip it using 2 barrel crimps. Thanks for your help.

thanks Lermods flipping that controller totally fixed it!
