Tried recapping my sound board out of my Bally Playboy this week, something I’ve never done before, and did a very stupid thing.

Evidently I put all the caps in backwards. I read the polarity markings on the cap kit backwards.

Lesson learned, but is this board irretrievably borked?

Hopefully no other collateral damage beyond this on my other boards.

Valuable lesson and some good soldering practice, but before I find a replacement wanted to see if there’s any hope of saving it.

Probably ok.. Put the new ones in correctly. Should be ok.

Has power been applied to the board? If so, then you need to install new ones again. If no power has been applied, then you can just turn them around.

Your lucky that the cap didn't blow. That make a mess...
