Let's not forget that distributor's had to buy these in groups of 10, so as far as Stern is concerned, yeah it might be selling well. The real proof of how successful or not The Beatles project is, will be when all the Golds from the 10 packs are gone and if there is demand for the second run.

I'd be interested to know how many gold editions out of the ten packs they had to buy are still sitting in distributor warehouses, that would be the most telling # as to whether it has been successful or not. For that matter, has Stern even started making the second run of golds, would seem unlikely if distributors are still sitting on inventory.

I really like the game, I think it's the best game Stern has put out in the last couple of years with the exception of Iron Maiden, but I stand by my opinion that it is outrageously over priced.

If the price on them drops to a reasonable level, I will strongly consider buying one, if I'm wrong and they don't, oh well, lots of other pins to play!!

I was very critical of this game when it first came out, thought it was a blatant rip off in just about everyway you could name, but having had a lot of time to play one, my opinion of the game itself has changed a lot. I still think the pricing was ridiculous, and there are a few things I don't love on the game itself, but I do really enjoy playing it, and I think Stern did a very good job of taking a classic single level playfield, adding a few wrinkles, (spinning disc, magnets, target behind the drops) and crafting a ruleset that really works, and always makes you think you can do a little better!!

I plan to add one to my collection at some point, it will probably never get down to the price where I thought they should be, but sometimes you just have to give in.
