I've never seen a chicken split like that.

Mom called it butterflying but the correct term is spatchcocking. It cooks the chicken faster and more evenly.

Just a couple of nights away from finishing my first project—a latch hook rug kit that I’m going to hang in our guest room.

I’ll be moving on to fixing my Grand Prix, finally working on my Hi Deal restoration, and fixing up my house, so apparently my Quarantine Theme is “Best of the 70’s”!

    Quoted from Bryan_Kelly:

I've always been into puzzles. Now my wife is too. Only problem is, a 1000 piece one like this only took us 4 hours.
I've got about 50 of them and have done about 12 in the last 2 weeks. I've done all 50 before so this is the second time around.
We're going to need more before this is all over.[quoted image][quoted image]

This one of the Central Park Bridge might work if you’re looking to do a 32-hour marathon:

    https://www.puzzlewarehouse.com/Central-Park-Bow-Bridge-17136.html

But if you’re looking for something a little more challenging, Google around and find the ones in the other two pics. The last one is called Around the World; it’s the current record-holder, but hard to find.

I got two project pins up and running. Rebuilt the iPhone I’m presently using to communicate with.

Did a bunch of forest work in my yard ( damned Oriental Bittersweet vines!). Had lots of ‘quality time’ with wife. Walked dogs at least 2 miles a day.

I’ve never had this much time off since I’ve entered the workforce at 14 yo.

Actually they are LEGO planes I have had for years. Seemed to go well with the theme for Hi Deal.

Decided today was the day to build a pool ball and cue rack. Ordered some clips on Amazon then went out to my western red cedar pile and grabbed a few boards. Ripped them all to the same size and planed them to 3/4". Designed the rack and cut all the boards to size. Put a first coat of stain on and will router out the grooves for the balls tomorrow. I'm beat. Time for a cold one

Repair finished!! Repinned all wired connectors and replaced all the board connectors, including the 5 displays. Always a pleasure to help making a game play great again. Game is ready to go back to the owner so he can do the playfield work on it before it goes out to one of his locations. 20200410_143713[1] (resized).jpg20200410_143713[1] (resized).jpg

I finished assembling it this morning. When the clips arrive I'll router out the cue end holes and find a spot to hang it. Now I just have to hang the light and setup the table. Lol

Spent way too much time on covering the support beams. Like 8 hours on one

Still don't have enough for the other pole and will have to rip, cut, plane, cut, sand, stain more. I should have just boxed it in and saved myself the work but I'm happy with the results.

Finished trimming and staining the stairs yesterday. Need to hang the handrail and the stairs are done

You should get the Baseball pack of ball 16-21.

Someone gave me this set when picking up a Black Knight about 2 years ago. At that time I had no idea they existed.

"How are you staying sane during quarantine?"

Drinking beer sure helps me keep my sanity...That being said, I will probably loose my sanity when I try to return the cans, As with all of us in Michigan, we can't do bottle/can returns until sometime when this all ends? IT"S GOING TO BE A NIGHTMARE! Think about it..the whole state for maybe months...

Here is just my own beer collection so far. (some bags too). Crazy.

That's pretty cool. I've been picking for close to 20 years and haven't seen those before. I'd like to buy a set of 49ers and Raiders balls eventually. I can find the raider balls as cheap as $12 usd but haven't had much luck finding just seven 49ers balls. Usually a full 16 ball to set only.

.10 a can and bottle in Sask.
We get money back for milk jugs, juice cartons.
Although we pay the deposit as we buy them, so we just get our money back

Scanning old negatives. I may not live long enough to properly catalogue them.
Working on lawn equipment. Never found that EM project so servicing 3 Mowers,
a tiller, pressure washer and a chainsaw.
Practicing old songs I wrote and re-learning chords. Tele, Hofner Club, Hofner Classical
    and my Martin OM-16
Tomorrow start on an Harnell Fly Rod Stripped down and painted 2 years ago. All the proper eyes and thread in hand with detailed photos for a guide. Hartnell built rods in Venice California and all of them are good.

That's cool about the negatives, I'm about to do something similar with old 35MM slides. A lot of the ones I need to scan have some dirt build up that I notice after scanning them. I ordered some Photographic Solutions PEC-12 Photographic Emulsion Cleaner off Amazon and cleaning wipes. It's going to take a long time to do but hey we have more time at home now right lol.

I'm also using this time to convert old home movies on VHS to digital and organizing digital pictures from over the past two decades. I have all of the photos on a NAS in RAID 5 but I'm now uploading the family pictures and video to One Drive to ensure I never lose them. My plan to is to create a shared folder on One Drive where family can pull the video and pictures they want. Figured its time I finally get this stuff organized and shared for family as otherwise no one will ever see it.

Oh that's interesting... do you have pictures to share?

I've considered it for my garage. I wonder how you clean out all the sediment that falls through. Maybe the idea is that you don't have to, but with our winters I worry it could be more of a mess than a normal floor.

    #198 4 years ago

Two cups white vinegar in the washing machine soap dispenser, 1/3 cup baking soda in the empty tub. Cycle on hottest setting possible.
Dishwasher - A coffee cup filled with white vinegar standing up on the top rack and sprinkle some baking soda on the bottom, run on hot.

I was told to get in touch with my feminine side and this is a good as it gets.
