    Quoted from revmex:

    reposting questions I had:
    "All,
This will be my first expo. Is it safe to say that I should make a list of all things I would buy and find them at the expo? Is cash king when your buying things from vendors or are you paying retail prices but you'll save $$$ on shipping (or tax).
Just trying to get a feel on what to expect."
    -Rev

I'm still pretty new to the whole expo thing but the only two I've been to (Texas Pinball Festival) didn't really show to have any deals that were good enough to really get excited about "unless" you were a vendor or brought a pin and got in early. I heard their were some good deals made before the show started but once it started prices were pretty retail in my eyes.

Parts were about the same as what you could get online too.

All in all, for those two events I went with cash in hand hoping to come home with something and both times I went home empty handed. I'm now going just to play and quite honestly wont be bringing any buying cash with me anymore.

Would it be considered a charitable donation if we help Marc out by buying a game so he doesn't have to stress his truck out on the way home? I'll have to consult my tax adviser...

Thanks again Marc for bringing all your pins. I'll be there Sat afternoon with my wife and daughter. If you see us come say Hi. The three of us will be in our "Got Pinball" shirts that my wife picked up this summer

    Quoted from KingNine:

I also have mixed feeling about the music. I love it but when I'm playing I don't as I can't hear the machine. Music makes an event so I don't know what to say but that everyone needs to mod their machines with headphone jacks lol.
Thanks for putting on such a fun show! I can't wait for next year!!!

Agreed here. Music was nice but was way to loud in my opinion. It was nice to have but would have been much better if toned down a bit. Anyone try to play the Corvette pin that had a 4 foot tall speaker right next to it on full blast? I played one ball and left as it was uncomfortably loud.

Not negativity, just something to make next year even better.
