I'm all about mediterranean (European) fan palms. Since I'm in zone 7b (within a few miles of 8a), I keep them indoors. I recently planted my Sago outdoor. It had been an indoor plant for the last 7 years. This is a fun hobby.

Hey Guys,

I don't mean to take away from the collecting aspect of our posts but...will spraying Neem oil on my indoor potted Mediterranean Fan Palm help rid this plant of those white fuzzy spots (mealy bugs or fungus)? I read about possible causes of these spots from tap water poisoning to root rot. Overall, the plant still appears in good health. I appreciate the feedback.

Quoted from vid1900:

Make sure you draw your plants out of their pots occasionally and see if they need repotting ...[quoted image]

Thanks Vid! I will treat with Neem. You make a good point on drawing the plant out of its pot. I had a difficult time loosening the roots while transferring to a larger pot. Good info!

If only I had 12'+ ceilings. I really wanted to buy this palm from my local Lowe's. I had to pass. There were over a dozen this morning. When I went back this afternoon, only 4 remained.

Quoted from TheCnyPinGuy:

Venus Fly Trap here
Doesn’t Sing Yet !

I can never keep these alive. The last one I purchased was from seashell city, just south of the mackinac bridge in Michigan. It's interesting that Venus fly traps are only native to southeast North Carolina.
