Quoted from jkleinnd:I don't know if the point is that silly. The themes of the 90's that you're trying to equate to- aliens, medieval knights, Star Trek, 50's B movies, even the Addams Family (sure, based on a 90's movie, but still I "feel" 60's classic TV show when I'm playing it) are more timeless.
The themes used in Dialed In, even if being mocked, feel more closely related to fads that we're currently moving through now, like 10 years ago- Blackberrys, AOL, Pokemon, and dial-up internet access, not really nostalgic or timeless. I am worried about this with Dialed-In, even as I contemplate purchasing it nonetheless.
DI is a disaster based theme, some of the modes are:
-Meteor Storm
-E.M.P. Strike
-Sink Holes
-Earthshaker
-Eruption
-Tidal Wave
-Alien Invasion
-Flash Fires
-Acid Rain
-Whirl Wind
-Singularity
The other modes are Chaos in Quantum City, Armageddon and then Showdown, the Theater is Awesome with virtual drop targets, spinner, train bash and drone captive ball, Big bang is nails and the Sim card shot makes me want to chop this thing up into little pieces. There is much more but yeah IMO this theme of disaster city and alien attacks should be pretty timeless.
