Bad idea to have board sets on the side of the main cabinet. Who wants to be stooped over trying to get your meter leads to a test point to check voltages on the boards? Or worse, trying to read the markings on the board to see what the lit or unlit leds are for?

The boards should be all in the headbox where they belong, not buried down in the main cabinet. They could fabricate a swing out bracket for the monitor similar to a Williams insert panel.

They left out a prop rod to hold up the playfield. I don't like having to lean the playfield against the backbox then having to stand on a ladder to adjust/work on the flippers!

No new games have this , FYI

Thunderbirds does!

The prop rod is probably the best part of Thunderbirds.

Boards in this machine:

P3-ROC cpu board in backbox in a cage behind the LCD monitor.

MultiMorphic SW-16 board (lower cabinet).

MultiMorphic PD-16 board (lower cabinet).

MultiMorphic PD LED2 board (lower cabinet).

American Pinball's own "Add On Board" which on Houdini controls start button LED, Shaker motor, and Knocker. Four other driver transistors are installed, but not presently used for anything. Mounted in lower cabinet. I would like to see one of those "unused" driver transistors get configured to drive a hardwired coin counting meter for location/route use.

Quoted from BrianBannon:

It is nice having the service outlet in the bottom of the cabinet where it belongs

Yep, the service outlet as well as the machine's power switch are in the normal locations.
