Quoted from Clnilsen:

With playfield to minipf wear life that?

So, I have a single owner (me) DW. That mini playfield wear is not bad. The time expander will catch the ball while dropping when multiball ends and cause damage like that fast. That is not enough wear to say it was routed. Also, the inlanes where the ball drops from the right ramp is in great condition and that spot is normally beat to crap, this machine has not seen a lot of use (or they’ve been touched up).

All that said, the coin slots also have some wear, so I would say this machine was earning money at some point. Regardless, this is a nice example.

My guess is this machine was on rout and broke down in a way that the operator couldn’t repair (probably the time expander), then it sat for a long time and eventually was sold broken and began its home use life and was fixed. That’s my theory.

Quoted from srmonte:

Dont know of many HUO machines where the owner thought it a good idea to drill the front for a lock bar

Came like that from the factory back then.

I do remember someone selling a FGY as HUO last year when it had a bill validator installed. That had me laughing my butt off.

Ah, that’s interesting. I’ll have to look at mine and see if there is a space to attach a lock bar. I thought there was, but perhaps my memory is off.
