I don‘t get what you get with the Hotwheels license, other them the name and logo, that you woudnt get without it.

You don‘t get video assets, no music and you cant use any of the sublicensed cars.
So you may get some phantasy cars and their blister artwork.
Dunno if it‘s worth it.

Quoted from jwilson:

AP has two main issues - theme choice and artwork. Artwork includes the screen graphics.

Theme is a matter of taste and it‘s a good thing that AP doesn‘t fish in the same pond as Stern. I like Houdini and Oktoberfest is ok also.

But Art (Screen) definately falls short in comparison and even if AP makes better games than the competition, our first judgement is based on visuals.

Quoted from drfrightner:

Hot Wheels has made so many direct to video movies, video games, and they have this new interactive online game. They have tons of video assets.

Ok.... never saw any of those.

Neither has anyone else so no worries.

What a great service CF does with a mockup like this.

Now people can complain that his design Looks better then the final product AP brought to market or CF may argue that you stole his idea...

...wich is why you don't do that and why companies want people to refrain from sending in concrete "ideas'n stuff™".

What glorious trolling against the AP art department.

At TPF I'm expecting:
AP - Hot Wheels reveal / announcement
JJP - Guns N' Roses reveal / announcement
Multimorphic, Inc - reveal / announcement
Spooky / Ben Heck / CGC - reveal / announcement
Stern - Heavy Metal reveal / announcement
Stern - Corner stone game reveal / announcement

And Deeproot

It's not for me but looking at the siderails & stuff this seems clearly more targeted towards the "Pro" audience (wich includes location gaming) wich is a good thing to enlarge the consumer base.

I'd still buy a Houdini if I'd have the money!

Quoted from valgalder:

I'm still baffled why multiple distributors are posting about selling the game

That's because they want to sell games.

You guys put up orders for stuff that's rumored to be coming in years.
