The Hook ramp shot is not necessarily an easy one. If the ball is sidespinning at all OR has other contact (bouncing) along the uphill curve it will often roll back. In other words it is a shot that needs to be pretty precise and strong.

Takes a while to get the hang of when it is new for you.
