Still learning the pinball world here. Bought a Hook earlier this week and noticed some of the GI not working correctly. Traced it back to the power supply connector of CN8 - looks a little fried and brittle. Was able to move it a little and they all came on. Looks like it had previously been worked on but not replaced as it should have! I'm not sure which connector I need from Marcos (I prefer Marcos because I have other things to order as well). Never had to order one before. Any help would be great!

I would replace the header and the connector. The header is a .156 header. You can buy bigger ones and cut them down to the amount of pins you need. I would not replace the connector with an IDC, but use a standard .156 molex and repin the wires.

Pindude covers the repinning in a video.

Do I want the locking version? I assume?

And then this and cut it down?

or

And then I will need 9 of these?

Just want to make sure before I order! Like I said, never done it before but seems pretty easy.

It is up to you. Either would actually work and the locking one will likely match what is on the board. Sometimes they come in black though.

I will just get 1 of each and see what I like better. Thanks for the help! Should be what I need to get it 100%. Thanks Tomass !!

Also I would get extra trifurcons. I get them 100 at a time. Easy to mess up a couple. And yes you can cut the headers and the connectors down. Connectors are a little harder, just watch as you cut. Also I use hot glue in the hole that should have a key. Cut the pin off the header for the key if one is there.

I'll post the end result for anybody new that might find this thread.

Forgot to take pictures before I closed everything up but I followed that video and it worked perfect. Thank you Tomass ! Everything lights up and I swapped out for LEDs. Looks amazing!
