I have never met Lloyd, but he treats me like a long time friend.

When I hit a deer with my car years ago, he sent me something to sell on E-bay to use toward the repairs.

When I needed tech help, he answered my e-mails.

When I e-mailed asking him where he gets billiard supplies because I bought a pool table, what does he do? Sends me a set of NOS Billiard balls!!

He did all this without allowing me to pay him. He is the epitome of how the world should be.

I am honored to be able to donate to this very VERY generous man!

I wish to some day get to Hopkins, MN, but if not, know that he has impacted me more than anyone in the hobby.

More additions to be added to the t-shirts lot. Get your bids in soon!

What is the T-Shirt Lot? Is that in another thread?

Thanks!

I have an item to "auction" as well for Lloyd.

24" x 36" Cirqus Voltaire poster - Signed by John Popadiuk! As received from John. Has one small wear spot and VERY slight edge wrinkle. Will look awesome if framed. Price will include shipping to US addresses. Can take any additional photos you might want.

Start at, oh, $50? Will run till next Thursday (7 day auction).

How are things going? Lloyd said on the Facebook that there was a snag.

Everything okay?

S&S is on my bucket list. Really.

I just hope the bucket doesn't need to be emptied too soon

I am unable to make it to the party, but Kris, I want you to know that I donated to help Lloyd, not to get a souvenir cue ball.

If it were just up to me, I would say I don't need a cue ball if you prefer to not have them made, but others might not share my sentiments.

Thanks for all of your hard work for Lloyd!

Someone probably has some, but if it will do - there's a larger pic in the MN/WIS thread.

Thanks! That is all I needed.

Quoted from LTG:

I am sorry for those that couldn't make it. Either because I didn't get the word out to them, or other things going on. I've been promoting the refresh party since January 1st on Facebook, here, emails, and telling people. And it's been posted in the business since January 1st.
I gave up years ago trying to schedule events around others. Mine get trampled on anyway. The Pinball Circus I schedule a half year to 3/4ths of a year in advance. This party was scheduled in hopes that a couple surprises would be there. Which sadly weren't.
I did the best I could and sorry I couldn't please everybody.
LTG

Lloyd -

In my opinion, the LAST thing you need to do is apologize to ANYBODY. You have done more for pinball than anybody I know. You will never, EVER make 100% of people happy. Your reply seemed a bit argumentative, but I don't think that anyone went at it like that. Please correct me if I am wrong, as I respect you more than anyone here on the forums sir.

I still like the banner even though I donated but didn't make it onto it

Chris

#909 9 years ago

Well I think that is always the case. I am sure it was a great time nonetheless, and you have to focus on the positives

I wish I could have been there for you.

Did you borrow J Pop's camera?

LOL. Thanks for sharing the pics!
