So when you get a new machine, what amount of games does your honeymoon phase last? In the beginning almost all games are fun for a bit, but after a while they either earn their way into your collection or get moved on to the next person.

At what amount of plays does that usually occur for you?

I go real hard on games when I first get them - I'm the same way with new music. The first 3-4 weeks I'll play a ton of games then slowly gravitate back toward the rest of the collection. I still keep them around for awhile, though, with most lasting 6 months or longer.

    Obviously depends on the machine

If I pull a new game in and it is not my most played game for a while it is not lasting long!

The only thing I can say is that most games stick around longer than TS4. That game seems to have had a honeymoon day or two.

If it is a game you truely love, honeymoon phase never ends.

I have moved games I still enjoy and play. Once the family is no longer interested, I tend to move it along. Most last about 1 year maybe 2. Better to rotate out and get another in that they can enjoy. There is alot of pinball out there!

That happens to me too. They get used the most right away! For me it's right in that 200-300 play range where they either stay or go. Please vote in the poll and thanks for the answers.

The way I'm reading your question is at what point do I know if the game is a keeper. For me that's after a relatively small number of games. Voting 25-100.
