Quoted from RCA1:

Yeah. It could be a lot worse so far.
I still have hope that it's OK.

Quoted from metallik:

Could be clips, easy enough to call "play blah.mp4" without having to overlay any information. Hoping to be pleasantly surprised by this game since it's a good theme, but homepin....

I'm super interested in this - dying to see it play as it seems to be a real thing!

Highly unlikely I would ever buy though.

Quoted from Yoko2una:

Homepin doesn't have the cachet or track record to ask almost $10K for their sophomore release. They should be looking at the piles of HW/UM's for sale on Pinside, the countless unsold TS4's and the fact TNA 2.0 isn't sold out of it's small run. It's sort of like people don't want to pay $10K+ for a NIB... especially from a company that has TBAG basically as their entire resume.

Game actually looks better than I thought but ya - no way I would pay $10K for this from Homepin, way too much risk. Resale will make it worse.

Unless you are a die hard Spinal Tap fan....

That said I would love to play!!!!!!

Quoted from pins4life33:

They should have removed the LCD or DMD to keep the price point lower on this one. Thunderbirds is already one of the worse modern pinball machines ever made and many people are sceptical on their ability to produce a good game. I just don't think there will be a lot of uptake, if they kept it in the Stern Pro range they might have had a chance to sell some of these but I don't see anyone except for die hard Spinal tap fans actually buying this game.

100% agree. Keep the price low and get some sales traction with a fun pin with fun callouts.

I hardly look at the LCDs when I'm playing anyway!

Quoted from RCA1:

It's good to hear that the games shown were considered to be prototype test games and various reported issues will be addressed.
However, it does seem fair to point out that the Spinal Tap Pinball website was showing that customer games would ship in September 2022 as recently as a few days ago.

Lets face it - this is not Stern. You better be handy and willing to accept risk with this machine. It is not for the faint of heart.

I love that this got made though - price is likely to kill a lot of demand unfortunately.

Quoted from Shapeshifter:

This is not just a dig at Homepin, but also other pinball companies.
How, in this day and age is it possible not to make a game with decent flipper power?
I mean, Gottlieb in 1950, made games with more flipper zip than many recent games.
It does not matter how good or bad a game is, if the flippers are weak and mushy.

I agree - the world has the technology!

Quoted from hank527:

About $ 9250 USD. What a deal for us.

Should never have asked more than. $7-8k even if there was very little profit. Can't ask Stern premium price for this...

Quoted from Rarehero:

LOL, they’re not shipping until mid ‘23?!?! They’re going to sell ZERO of these at that price & that timeline. Any sane pinball buyer will just go get a Stern, Spooky, JJP, or CGC for less & have it sooner.

Imagine putting down a deposit on this and sitting until next June?
