Quoted from CrazyLevi:

All I know is SPINAL TAP has fewer letters than INTERNATIONAL RESCUE so the ruleset can't help but be slightly improved over the last Homepin offering.

What if you have to spell SPINAL TAP eleven times?

Quoted from woody76:

Is Balcer not at American?

Long gone. And I read he already came and went from Homepin

Pics of the dmd?

Quoted from CaptainNeo:

why the shit is there a DMD and a LCD screen? Is the screen just to show random clips of movie and all the interaction goes the DMD? Seems like a waste of resources. DMD costs could have went into some exciting toys on the playfield.

Because Mike said he doesn't like LCDs but knows people expect them now. So he added one for that but stuck with DMD for most of the normal pinball stuff.

In the very limited footage I've seen, the LCD at least occasionally communicates some pinball info (like displaying "skill shot").

Quoted from Pinball_Syd:

Highway Games have uploaded another video clip of the attract mode.
It’s actually wet my appetite to watch the movie again

For those complaining about the price, maybe you can watch the entire movie on the LCD. If so, make sure to take that into account with your evaluation.

Quoted from Yoko2una:

Please define “trolls”. Is it those who have zero faith based on his track record? Is it those who reject homophobia? Is it those who question the sourcing and manufacturing practices? Is it those who see well known themes get god awful representation through piss poor art, rules, and coding? Is it those who see games brought to shows ridden in hot glue and shoddy welding? Is it those who have flipped one or more Homepin games and think they’re terrible in geometry? Or is it those who just think these games will continue to suck in perpetuity because all of the above?

You left out those looking at all of those things and then looking at the price tag.

Quoted from EvillePinball:

I played it at the Pinball Hall of Fame last week. It's epically bad. I got a free game and walked away.
Thunderbirds was right across from it and was way better. (I can't believe i just said that, because it was horrid)

Intriguing. What made the game not just worse than Thunderbirds but much worse?

Just listened. What a deeply strange interview.

Quoted from jq-pinner77:

All you complainers and haters is what ruins the hobby , I bought TB and my kids loved it ,that's all that mattered to me ,like any game they got tired of it after 3 yrs and I sold it for $4500 ,yeah that's right $4500 to a guy in Fargo ND and he put in on route .I never had 1 problem out of the game, He builds a solid game .Bottom line is not every game is for the tournament player,I honestly could care a less about the code as long as it's reliable, definitely can't say that about a couple other manufacturers, our kids are the future of pinball so all of you haters that think games suck because of code or layout, get yo heah out of yo ass

Great points

Quoted from punkin:

Makes you think doesn't it. We go on about code and layout, theme and theme integration as being important.
But really, once you pull yo head out yo ass, it's his kids that pinball should really be judged by.

Kudos to Homepin Mike. The target consumer he described does exist.

Quoted from PinMonk:

The booger-eating crowd?
Yeah, Thunderbirds is a pinball that will pass the time for kids, but why not put them in front of a GOOD pin or a series of them to tune their tastelevel? After comparing it to a few actually fun pins, they'll understand the issues.

As he described on a recent podcast, it's people who don't care about layout, rules, scoring, or asset choreography. A game with a recognizable theme and working flippers for the batting around the ball ticks all the boxes.

So what was the new title contractually required to be announced at Expo?

I see the game is now upgraded with a third flipper, and the price has come down

See where?

Quoted from koji:

How's it playing?
With set up time, they are playable.

I think it was working as intended. We still stopped playing mid ball one
