The inner left ramp is a joke. It amazes how designers dont either test it prior, or just dont know period but the feed is going to have issues. The price is another joke. Give up Mike. Let Haggis, made in Australia by Australians show you how its done.

So is this 348 or 349 in the top 100?

#1017 1 year ago

Better effort!!

Quoted from swinks:

Homepin posted just 3hrs ago (22-9-22) a few conflicting comments - first 2 games were the first 2 production games (not proto-types) and then shipped a couple of months ago but was 2nd week of August. Who knows what the real truth is.

You forgot to mention the 1st sentence.

Quoted from TreyBo69:

Godzilla is a single level playfield?
Also my rebuttal is simply how many people love to buy the basic fan layout. Giant outside orbit, two ramps, and a central bash toy. That basic design is the core to numerous popular games.
Sure you shoot the layout, but you play a software game.

Playfield is always more important than code (imo). It is not ironic that KMEs 4 games so far are all unique playfields and do not have bash toys.

Quoted from Miguel351:

Oh, we agree on that one. Hence, I'm not a huge fan of MM, AFM, or MB. They're funny games, but boring to shoot.

How about MET, TF, IM, Gaurdians, ST, Stranger things, SW, LZ???? Should be included in the list

Quoted from Miguel351:

I think I have about 10 games total on all of those titles combined. You should also include Austin Powers in that list since Iron Man is a virtual duplicate of AP. Truth be told, I wouldn't mind having a fan style game like these in my collection, but probably just the one.
Also, there are many flavors of games out there and likewise, just as many flavors of pinball owners and what they like. If the fan layout didn't sell well, you wouldn't see it anymore. Just the same, if Lawlor's standard layout didn't sell well, we wouldn't keep seeing it.

Its actually an insult to players and collectors.. "yeah just change the theme and ship the same playfield to save time and money" Honestly if MET, TF, IM, Guardians, ST, Stranger things, SW, LZ, AP were all wiped from the planet I would not miss them one bit. Mehh they only sold well for a combination of the theme and that no one else was making games.... or lack of competition rather.

There are people that take pinball way to serious.
Pinball folks. It's all good.

like those spending over 20k for an LE or posting everyday on a thread of speculation....

Quoted from TreyBo69:

No bash toys, lol
- Iron Maiden's giant glowing bullseye target
- Jurrasic Park truck nuts and the raptor pit on the premium is a bash toy
- AIQ spinning disc is bash toy like
- Godzilla has the building, a captive ball/magnet bash toy, and Mechagodzilla is bashed on
You can argue some of those if you want, but Elwin clearly uses bash toys...
also what do you think irony is?

Targets / captive balls are not bash toys. Sparky/Monger <--- Bash toys.. Bulls eye, Disc, Truck (arguably) are not bash toys. Mechagodzilla does not move.... Balls can bash anything but dont tell me KMEs games have bash toys like TWD, MET, IM, TF, ST, CV...

Sure his games have toys, ones that actually work!! but my point is he hasnt gone down the standard fan layout route knowing that buyers dont have many other options... and looky here 3 of his games are in the top 10. And it aint due to the theme!!

Irony? "Not ironic"...

Quoted from TreyBo69:

Bash toys are just giant targets. It's really not that different
You don't even actually hit sparky. It's an opto and standup target. Not a bash toy by your definition...
Pretty much everyone would agree the lamp in TOTAN is a bash toy, so why shouldn't AIQs disc count?
You hit mechagodzilla in the chest on GZ premium. How is that not a bash toy?
You hit the magnet/captive ball on GZ premium and the bridge collapses. How is it not a bash toy?
Yes Keith's layouts are unique. But he also puts a heavy emphases on kinetic toys because they're satisfying to shoot and are good risk/reward elements for rule design.

You don't even actually hit sparky. It's an opto and standup target. Not a bash toy by your definition... its a toy that moves/shakes due to an event happening

Pretty much everyone would agree the lamp in TOTAN is a bash toy, so why shouldn't AIQs disc count? lol really? I would not say thats in the same league. Next thing you will be calling a spinner a toy

You hit mechagodzilla in the chest on GZ premium. How is that not a bash toy? Mecha dont move!!!! penny dropping yet?

You hit the magnet/captive ball on GZ premium and the bridge collapses. How is it not a bash toy? Yeah I guess you could count that, but its not the PRIMARY focus of the game unlike previous sterns in the 2010s

Yes Keith's layouts are unique. But he also puts a heavy emphases on kinetic toys because they're satisfying to shoot and are good risk/reward elements for rule design. Would not say heavy.... The majority of his games have toys that work.... not JUST bash toys that as a short cut for putting effort into designing a good game. KMEs games are great due to the playfield design and code.... MET, TF, IM, Guardians, ST, Stranger things, SW, LZ, AP are rubbish.

Build it and they will come.

Quoted from Fezmid:

MET is rubbish? Huh, I guess I love rubbish games then. Thanks for the insight!

Great theme, very good code, good art, rubbish playfield. KME finally made use of the jets area in JP, Maiden even GZ... Not only are the jet pointless as are the lanes, the up post is a cheap ineffective way of attempting to stop the ball. It failed in IM so why not put it in MET... Snake in theory great,in practice rubbish.

Dont worry folks... if you are really not sure, just go by the models reactions about the game:
