Thunderbirds was well received at Pinfest 2018, with consistent crowds throughout the event. Thanks to all who visited! Here are some comments from the event:

“Played Thunderbirds and it is so much better than it was in the prototype stage last year. The game is no longer so brutal that you can't enjoy it and is now fun to play.”

“I played the production model thunderbirds (the one on the right) and loved it”

“I played both thunderbirds, fun game, but that ramp seemed a challenge to get up”

Hi @mrwol64, at the present moment current forecasts are in January for container shipments to Australia. Our Australian branch has been waiting to make announcements as we are waiting for the goods to be available for shipping. We are continually following up on this and will make announcements as soon as we can.

Industry charity, The Light Fund, has raised over GBP5,000 at its recent industry lunch event. ITV donated a Thunderbirds Pinball machine for the raffle, and it was won by Samuel Alexander.

Nice gesture and all up for charity and helping those in need

but

interesting that a game can be donated but games can not be issued to the guys that were the founding supporters of this project when you have Homepin arguing over who pays what import taxes

so how is the acrooda digital pin going being made by homepin?

Please read the post more closely - it was ITV who donated this machine to charity. This machine was the one that Homepin was contractually obligated to supply ITV as part of our Thunderbirds licence. It is also the same machine that was sent to the Daventry Pinfest 2018 to maximise the value from this one machine.

As ITV is currently building new offices, and they won't be completed for some time, ITV chose to donate their machine and it is this one that raised 5,000GBP for charity.

And my #002 game has finally made it (apparently) to oz but seems to have been shipped out to someone else by "accident". At this stage after over 5 years of waiting, I now have no game and no refund. disappointed is an understatement.

So Highway , how is it that you stuffed up Jeff's 0002 machine and sent it elsewhere ?
Also how does it work and what kind of shenanigans are you pulling when someone who pre-ordered YEARS after us initial customers is contacted by you and can get their machine "conveniently" squeezed into the container that has now arrived in Australia .
You need to do everything possible to get this shit show over and done with .

God I hope it all works out b4 xmas Jeff

#32 5 years ago

well a guy who only paid a deposit got his last week in Australia and paid the balance.

so the trick is never pay in full as there is no incentive to get you the game when the carrot of new money is waived

Get ya $7k out today and you can own one

I know another guy who just shipped one back from the USA to Australia as it was cheaper that buying it Here.

Jeff, this is very wrong by you. You asked Highway Entertainment a number of times to sell your #002 machine before the goods were shipped out of the factory warehouse. The machines which are being advertised on Highway Entertainment were/are pre-order cancelled orders – similar to Pope and others, we found new buyers when customers no longer wanted their cabinets. For people who are complaining about these advertisements (and indeed telling people not to purchase these machines) you are actually hurting pre-order customers. Jeff's machine has been sold a few times over but at the last minute there is a problem as people such as Wayne/Mr Pinball (people should see this for what it is - a competitor who continues to post false information so that he can sell his pinball machines) convince buyers that the product either does not exist or is not good (virtually everyone who has received their machine has been very happy with their order).

When Jeff's machine arrived into our warehouse we treated this machine as a "general sales" machine and this was indeed shipped to another customer – the mistake was that we should have shipped XXX but we sent #002. There were 2 machines in the warehouse and the storeman took the closest machine – this should not matter, as the machines were scheduled for sale. A few days after this shipment you reached out to our office and said you now wanted the machine back. After checking the warehouse, we told you about the problem, and that we have another cabinet (new in box) in the warehouse and you can take this immediately - but you wanted the #002 game. Over the weekend our office reached out to you to mention we will try to get this cabinet back or work on an alternative solution, and today we will again reach out to you. We feel disappointed that you are not telling the full story here – in fact, we had another pre-order customer who was chasing us to purchase your machine (this customer contacted us randomly and told he had been chatting with you directly about purchasing your machine). Please understand, we would have never shipped the machine if you had not told us you wanted it sold.

Customers (Homepin direct customers) in Australia have been receiving their machines slowly. We totally understand everyone wants their machines immediately and we are trying our very best to make it happen.

Hmm, No this is not very wrong of me and I appreciated the email your office sent me this after noon. I've totally supported Highways endeavours to help support and solve this continuing saga. We have chatted and emailed about this a few times and while I am frustrated, I welcomed and applauded Highway for wading in to help.
Since Highway is the worldwide distributor I thought back in August following Petes eventual sale I'll go the same way as I'm over it.
My only proviso was I didn't want the game sold in OZ as it would cause a shitstorm. Sell it overseas that way none of the preorders will be played favourites.

This current problem has arisen because the game had landed in OZ ( I wasn't informed and found out 2nd hand news). The mystery buyer who wanted to see the NIB actually here in OZ before he ponied up any money, which given the history I'd do the same thing myself seemed to have vanished.
It would seem that you had no luck with the mystery buyer and now knowing the game was here and wanting some sort of closure I offered to cancel the consignment , pay the outstanding GST and freight and pick it up and I'll deal with the thing myself.
It should be of no importance what I do with my property which I paid for 5 and a 1/2 years ago.
Your office replied fine, pick it up and do with it what you will via email on the thursday and I said no prob, I'll pick it up today monday 3/12.
Got a phonecall on Friday 30/11 stating I can't pick it as its been shipped to someone else.
Seems to me that your office was out of sync with one and other.
#002 was already shipped and gone elsewhere before I even knew it was in OZ.

I've been pretty patient but more details have come to light today and over the weekend but that's another chapter.

Sorry I but missed the bit where you say the game was sold a few times over?? Unaware of that but thanks for letting me know.

#37 5 years ago

people such as Wayne/Mr Pinball (people should see this for what it is - a competitor who continues to post false information so that he can sell his pinball machines) convince buyers that the product either does not exist or is not good

Homepin Has no Competitor Mike has Stated Many Times, how can a game we sell $5,000 AUD more compete with the Thunderbirds sales

There seems like a lot of Demand for the games overseas no problem selling them, Australians are probably cancelling orders as its a clusta F*^7 distribution arrangement

#38 5 years ago
Quoted from railways:

Jeff, please contact the Australian office and try to get a solution. As we said before, you told us to sell the machine and it seems you were trying to sell the machine to other buyers. We already contacted you earlier today to give you options so please let us know what you want us to do. We are getting pretend buyers (customers who are pre-order Homepin direct customers) as well as genuine inquiries - until everyone receives their machines this issue will keep going, and as we said, we are doing our best to get machines settled.

Please go and pedal your poison elsewhere. You have nothing to do with Thunderbirds Pinball or the distribution of this machine. We understand you are upset not to distribute the product, but let it go. This topic is for distributor news, trade events, and customer help.

Wayne, you are embarrassing yourself. Let it go. Everyone's got an opinion, and we certainly have heard yours, but please peddle it elsewhere - most people can see what you are trying to do. Your not a customer, your not a distributor, your a competitor. Homepin distribution "is" happening with a professional distribution network in Australia and across the world.

As we said in this topic, its for distributors, and guide on where customers can view the machines worldwide.

ok another thread coming to punches, everyone is a liar but everyone is telling the truth. Why oh why aren't lawyers and law suits in place yet if sabotage and lies are on the table. That should stop all the bickering and name calling I would think and someone might even get a nice cash pay out from it if they are genuinely being damaged on the business front
