Quoted from jwilson:

I think that Thunderbirds isn't even the most interesting part of this, it's other, smaller manufacturers getting access to quality parts at much cheaper pricing!
At least I hope that's Homepin's aim - to sell quality generic (and possibly specific) parts to home builders and smaller boutique manufacturers.

Yep, a FAST-brained/Homepin-fitted kit? I'm drooling!

I really don't think the average punter realises how much Mike has on the line here. The more I see of the operation, the more it seems like this is an all or nothing bet. I have developed one or two shitty little mods and it has cost me a butt-load in time and money. Thousands tied up in stock so I don't have to make to order. This Homepin operation is serious and will tally $millions at stake. Mike, you must be in a position where it's crash or crash through, and anybody HAS to take their hat off to that.
I continue to be amazed.

Quoted from Homepin:

It's a pinball rubbery kind of day here as the rubber factory just dropped off thousands of our fresh rubbers.

Kilograms of fresh white stuff being weighed on precision scales. Not sus at all! I loooove counting by weight. I count cash for pin deals with my scales.

Staff photo taken this afternoon for the re-vamped website.

Look at all those lovely smiling faces of people who only had about a one in two hundred million chance of working in pinball. (If you don't count the chances of a pinball factory opening in China at all!)

Quoted from PinSinner:

Almost everything here is measured in millimetres, not centimetres. Everything from furniture, to hardware. It may be unusual to those from other parts of the world, but completely normal here in Australia. In fact, seeing something measured in centimetres seems odd to me.

Yup

Quoted from JodyG:

Why anyone would fork over thousands of dollars of unsecured money up front to a new and unproven company is beyond me. If a company has such a sound financial plan that it is a "can't fail", they would have no problem securing cheap money through the financial markets. Having your future customers prepay their way before you make product one is insane. This should be a red flag for everyone. For those who choose to ignore that, they should realize that there is a real chance they may never see anything materialize from that money. So why risk it? So you can be the first kid on the block to get the new toy?

Good grief, you’re about two years late with this lecture, lol. This discussion has been done, overdone, died, resurrected, overdone again, flogged, and died again about a year ago.
