stainless steel mirror blades are 0.8mm thick which is about 1/64 inch and they still get scratched.

you can fit 8 sets of mirror blades on a sheet of 8 x 4 foot sheet of SS and including stainless and cuttings fees works out about $35 a set here in Aus. Make a sheet or 2 and sell to mates in your local area for a small mark up to cover the costs and get them for free and some of your time

If you went the vinyl way you need to ensure your surface that you are applying to is ultra smooth as it will show up everything in the mirror.

    Quoted from KING-HENRY:

Resurrecting here. I’m currently looking into making a few sets of DIY mirror blades. Anyone have the template they might share for Data East-Stern and/or Williams? Not for reselling, but for personal use on my own pins. I was thinking of using a thin, flat and somewhat rigid material to apply the chrome vinyl to, vs just putting it on the bumpy wood surface.

I sell a CAD file with Data East / Stern and Bally Williams for $25USD and then you can make and sell to your hearts content

Nice. Do you have to have CAD software to get the templates, or can I throw them into photoshop or similar? Or as .sti files ?

they are dxf's ready for the laser cutter
