    Quoted from stpcore:

I've been in the vinyl printing/cutting business for a while and can tell you that the proper mirrored finish adhesive backed vinyl would work well. If someone has the templates I'll order a roll and cut some sets and ask for feedback. My machine can cut all of the contours without an issue.
As long as I'm not violating any type of copy/trademark I'd be happy to do this and offer it as a service if there is a demand?

    Awesome, thanks for offering.
But I'd think the cuts would be the easy part, w a razor knife,
    or am I missing something?

    what's the proper vinyl?

I was thinking about this a year or so back, but has anyone tried with mirror-finish aluminum? I was thinking you could then customize it a bit more if it made sense. As in you could anodize them to a color that would match the game, say red or blue or whatever to match the game theme but still retain that mirror like finish.

Some interesting reading about the history of this can be found here it would seem.

And as a finishing touch, God created the Dutch!

    I thought the saying went:

You can tell they are Dutch, but you can't tell them much

I've used the same mirror foil on my machines, looks good to me

Those photos look remarkably good. Is that stuff easy to cut, does it tear? I've considered foil tape for this, but it was too hard to work with

If it's easy for you to cut manually and install then that's great. I imagine some people may prefer to have something that's already cut to spec and can be applied instantly. I have 3 different materials on order and my goal was to have these available for around $20 per set.

Again, if its easier and/or more affordable to manually trim and install no worries at all. I was only trying to contribute to the community with machine cutting to spec.

I would much rather buy something that's already cut to spec

its pretty thick, but easy to cut with siccors, i first make a template with paper on the inside of cabinet.

its rolled so i put ome weights on it and draw the cut lines , i use the straight side as top and mirror the other side.
Dont forget to meassure and cut the bolt holes.
Raise playfield stick in place, the push swipe with towel, and the in n angle take of protective layer.

I have the expensive mirror blades from Cointaker on my GNR, Metallica, Austin Power, and KISS. But I've also done homemade "blades" that really make the games pop. There's a great seller on eBay that has the diamond plate sticker rolls. I've used that on my Demolition Man and T2. It looks amazing. I also used a purple glitter sticker roll on my Hurricane. And for F-14, I used an American flag duct tape I bought at the dollar store. Made the game look awesome in person.

Thats great. I would love to see a comparison between the "real mirror blades" vs the home made ones. And would even love to see more pictures of the other onces
