Hey, guys; just trying to get some room back in the basement. I recently bought a custom built 4-player cabinet, so this thing can certainly go. This was a DIY project i put together years ago, and it went fairly well. It doesn't have the look of a museum piece, but for a couple hundred bucks I don't think you can go wrong. The cabinet kit alone was $600-700. The X-Arcade controller is another $200.

PC is Windows XP with GameEx front end. Emulators include MAME, Atari 2600, Nintendo, Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo. Total game count is only around 500, but you can certainly download and configure anything that you want. There's a little speaker kit with subwoofer in there, too. Nice drawer for your keyboard and mouse; faux coin door. Light up marquee; side art and red t-molding.

It comes apart in several pieces, so it's not a complete disaster trying to move. It is heavy, however. i have a walkout basement and enough room to drive your vehicle around to the back door, so loading is pretty easy.

Let me know what you think. The Raspberry Pi things are pretty popular nowadays, and I imagine you could retro fit to this cabinet somehow. That would be pretty cool. Either way, I think there's definitely someone out there that would really enjoy this and with barely spending any money. At least compared to pins .
