Right top ramp with spinner
I just noticed your lower playfield slingshot flipper setup. That is really cool!
The idea I had for my game is a circular zone near the top of playfield that when entered the ball bounces off a bumper in the center and hits as many randomly valued standups as possible before draining into main playfield.
But the idea of virtually no ball control bothered me so lately I have been mentally toying with a pair of slingshots in the lower corners and a half round target area. But still the setup lacks player input.
Then I see your slingshot flipper setup. That might be the perfect solution. I saw a short video of them in action and it looks like timing is absolutely critical due to the short stroke not touching the rebounding ball. Do you like the level of control that setup provides or does it still feel like a random bounce fest?
Looking forward to more footage of your machine in action. It looks quite awesome!
Sound really cool! What machine are you making, is there a thread?
I will try to make a new video of the lower playfield with some action. Sometimes the ball goes around in a circle, that is really awesome. I have to say that i can not control where the ball will go. Sometimes when the ball isn't that fast you can wait that the ball rolls down to have a nice shot, it is really nice fun. Also nudging is very helpful when the ball is not in the center of the sling. A short stroke will make it more difficult to keep it in play.
My code is that it doesn't matter which target it hit. I just count all the hits and for example you have to hit at least two to raise a drop target up again.

It’s a fantasy RPG pinball that is still in the fantasy stage. I have a box of parts though. Maybe I’ll take a pic holding a few up. Pinball is easy… LOL!

What sorcery is this?! I need one of these, that is cool!

amazon.com link »
it's a german link hope that works.
initially bought it with a special thing that adapts to different sizes of nuts.
Proof of concept of the digger mechanism.
I will raise the platform to hide the shovel in a sandpit and then put a cabin over it.
Test of the moving target
Used different leds, the channels are swapped, they will blink green on success later. But overall very happy with it

This is amazing. I think it has to be the most creative home brew I've ever seen. And there are a ton of amazing homebrews out there.
Well done!
I had problems with the code hanging, no switches woring etc. So i swapped the pc. And one of the blue pill boards on the cobrapin. Think this is solved now.
Installed a new kickback with a longer plunger, that rocks!
And installed a simple swing that gets hit when the ball comes out of the kickouthole.
Quoted from MeesterPieter:Nice that swing
And its just a small piece and some wire , love it when something simple just works
I wanted to make a bonusmode with a rainstorm. I really love the LEDs in the top of the cabinet. They make a nice atmosphere.
And started another bonusmode.
In the Discomode there will be all finished modes active. The Flippers are reversed and the lightshow should go along with a cool song.
in this video i have started to code the lightshow for Pulsar from Ravenholm.
Quoted from TreyBo69:Easy: make a dehumidifier that's also a pinball machine
Good idea. And would be a cool name for a pinball machine too
Quoted from stefanmader:all of my ramp flaps are rusting. I don't recall making them wet
I noticed the same thing with my own ramp flaps from my first build. Seems like the first thing you need to do once they're cut to shape is polish them with something that will form a protective layer. I was able to clean off most of the rust on mine, and after buffing on some Novus 2, I've never seen my ramp flaps oxidize any further.

Thank you very much, there are still things missing, but nothing game changing. Progress has slowed down a little, because we are now proud parents, but the projectlist grows as well
