Quoted from swinks:nice work fortytwo
it's not that I don't want to pay respect to older games, it's basically drawing the line as when you look deeper there are so many projects out there that are never posted on pinside. Therefore this thread is a view from the perspective of builds of custom games with their story of development posted on pinside for pinsiders to look up, read, learn and then get motivation to possibly do the same. Just like p-roc and fast have there threads dedicated to their forum and products. This isn't product specific, rather pinside build thread specific.
so the line in the sand for this thread is linking it back to pinside build threads of custom games - new and re-themes. I have been a bit busy but contemplating doing a separate homebrew thread just on homebrew software customisation as when you look deeper there are so many there as well.
I get it. There’s a lot of undocumented projects out there. He retheme really was my start into home brew Pinball. I really like what you have done here. It would be cool to see this group get recognition in twipys. I have seen a lot of talent in these forums.
Very cool. I did a kill bill theme mame as my entry into this hobby. Did some cool screen capture art for it. Anime Oren is a must for me.
Howdy. I hope this is ok. Otherwise I’ll delete. At Chicago expo in October a couple of us were able to negotiate a booth just for custom games. We so far have “ghost in the shell” and “nightmare before Christmas”. I might bring greyhounds if the weather allows me to take a truck.
We are looking for more games for the booth. If you are considering going and have a game. Can be just flipping complete - ish or just together. Reach out to me and let’s chat. Rob, David, and the other Rob all would like to see the games at the show. Any hardware or software allowed. And flyers or handouts for your hardware and software is allowed. If your a manufacturer of such also reach out to me.
Thanks
Quoted from epotech:We're looking to do similar at the UK Pinfest next August, so far we have 4 confirmed games, from full custom to just rules changes. We'd love as many games as can be brought.
It was a blast. Really getting to hang out with other custom builders all weekend made it a great weekend. In total I think we had 6 games in the lineup.
Good luck with pinfest. I hope it comes together.
