Anyone have a pdf of the Force II schematics? I have a hard copy of the manual already but not the schematics..... I know... pbr..... I have one light that is out in the entire game. Lamp is good, socket is good, have continuity to ground, have continiuity to driver board connector pin, replaced the corrosponding mpsa13 transistor, no change. This is a play field feature light for the top "extra ball" light just below the set of 4 white drop targets.

Who sells a system 80 power supply rebuild kit? Just like the BD kit #2, except in stock.....

I can't seem to find these pre-made anywhere else.

It has been such a LONG time coming for this one. I had ordered a Force II backglass from bgresto several months ago and it arrived today! This thing is an excellent replacement for my 1/2 flaked off glass. They even added the necessary color screens over the score display holes. Very nice. I like it! I've included some photos of this thing all lit up in the game and it sure makes a major difference! I wish there was a way for bgresto to get their orders out in less time, but I'm not aware of the full scope of their operation so I really cannot comment on that. I have purchased 2 back glasses from them, and also had them create a Genco Davy Crockett rifle game back glass for me as well and have been very pleased with the results each time. Anyway... on to the photos!

Quoted from gdonovan:

Not an obvious modification to the naked eye but a pleasant one none the less. When I picked up my Gold Wings it had the "popular" short leg/long leg modification which I abhor. The manual states 5.5 to 6 degrees, which is a fine suggestion. I had to crank up the front levelers just to get it in the ball park which made a tall machine even taller.
So yesterday while pushing pins around I freed up some time to take the generic black legs that were on GW, run them through the chop saw, fired up the welder and made them all an equal 26" as you can see in the picture. The flipper buttons are now at the same height as the Williams Touchdown right next to it and I can see more of the playfield.
Little gold paint and all is good.

Any chance you have an extra speaker panel for Gold Wings? I've been looking for one for a bit now.

Air raid siren in Gold Wings!

Speaking of Gold Wings, does anyone have a speaker panel they'd like to sell? I need one as mine is missing completely.

Quoted from PinballManiac40:

Anyone have a Gold Wings topper or the whole siren assembly for sale? I'm trying to bring mine back to a full game state.

You can get the siren from Pinball Resource. I just picked one up within the last year.

Quoted from pkrobin:

yes the process is the very same no matter what I do. Also I should mention no sound at any point.
Actually on Sound, check this out. If I go over to the PSU, while its all powered up and I remove (yes I know I shouldn't do this) the lower connector which I think is the power into the PSU, I do get the Startup sound effect however nothing else is powered after that of course.

There are ground mods that should be done to the system 1 games as well. I would do the ground mods and see what happens. That might save from having to purchase a new board as well.

Quoted from pkrobin:

All the mandatory ones i did before I ever powered it up. Played maybe 50 games between when I did then and when it quit working.
Was thinking I did adjust a couple pop bumper switches along the way and may not have powered it off so maybe i arc'd something. No fuses blown though.

I've got a Buck Rodgers waiting for a restore as well, and it was doing random and strange things at power up as well. I was going to do the ground mods on mine and see where it ends up at.

Since you've already done them, maybe the next step is the replacement board.

If I remember right these have the "spider" chips on them that are basically unattainable now and difficult to work with for many.
