If anyone around St. Louis has a Pink Panther they can part with, drop me a PM.
I can pay cash, or trade another System 80 like Volcano or MGOW.

Pics below from my victory. I'm missing a couple of these but am not smart enough to figure the details out on my own.

I think that PBR carries those. I made one a while back out of scrap stainless steel.

Im going to do an overhaul on it and will definitely replace connectors and move the battery pack.

I prefer the SuperCap option vice batteries.

@Gerry...great lineup...you need to put a Volcano next to BH, HH, TimeLine, and MGOW. That was my thought...to put all of the games with active backglass controlled lamps next to eachother. I still plan to do it, but TimeLine got away.

Big House really grew on me when I had one in for repair. Fun game.
CounterForce I love!
I'd love to spend some time with a Devil's Dare, but never have found one.
I had a Force II for a while and found it pretty dull.
Star Race...I see it has it's fans. Those sounds...

Here's a glamour shot of a few of my S80 games. I don't have my RoboWar in line yet. It's downstairs now with HH (in rehab), Counterforce (also in rehab), MGOW, and Spiderman. Bad Girls is (gack!) in the garage. I really should install the pristine Volcano inner BG that I have.

Aren't raven owners welcome? I don't see it listed at the top of the page.

Of course they are...and I've just fixed that!

LOL. Another unhappy Volcano get no love/attention (player 2 display).
Steve

Ya...it's just dim. Nothing that a few hours on won't cure (or the "bright up" procedure).
If you look close, you can also see the ball lodged in the left inlane, unable to hop over the broken rubber laying there that snapped the last time I had it on.

Quoted from BALL_LESS1:

"Tell us more about this story, were you there when the guy was getting ready to pitch it off the back of his truck?
its amazing that you were able tyo not that one slip through the cracks...
CF is a GREAT game.. i love mine"
I wasn't there, but got a call from a buddy that knew I had started collecting pinball machines. He stopped them from flipping it off the back tailgate of a pickup truck and moved it to a covered shed. He said they had the manuals and a box of spare parts, but they somehow lost them by the time I got there. The game itself had two blown fuses and is dirty as heck. I replaced the fuses in the driveway and fired it up. I decided to try it outside, just in case it caught fire or something. I played a couple of games and ended up with a flock of neighborhood kids playing it. It appeared everything worked on it, drop targets and all. I actually went to bed and could still hear the kids playing it. To my surprise, it was still there the next morning. I moved it into the garage, pulled the backglass,(took it inside), covered it with a blanket, and promptly moved to a new job in Wichita, 405 miles away.. The thing is still in the garage in Foristell. I'll clip the battery out of it the next time I return home. I did look to see if it had the ground mod on it, it doesn't. It deserves a restore, but I don't know if it will be by me. At least I rescued it.

Holy chit. CF is a great game, and someone was going to pitch one, right in my backyard. Gack! Glad you saved it!

does black hole use the pop bumper boards?

Yes, it does.
@mof...replace the coil, and troubleshoot the associated pop bumper driver board.

What are some remote-battery options for sys80s?

I don't use batteries anymore...SuperCap is much better.

Quoted from blownfuse:

I just uploaded a short 30 sec. vid of a BH that I'm working on at the moment (I'll delete it later). No thunk at start up, just like almost all of my games.
Steve
» YouTube video

Nice Steve.
I'm sure the first ones that Rockwell/Gottlieb designed didn't thunk either, or they would have fixed it.

Some of mine don't thunk either. It's luck of the draw with each driver board. Some driver boards thunk, others don't.
One of mine thunks, including the ball release coil, which allows a ball into the shooter lane.

I haven't implemented John's hack. Too much work for small gain. But I was thinking about another method the other day. Let me noodle on it some more.

But then its like your married to the thing and ya have to turn it on once a month.
Regular Batteries gives you a special day each year.
I wish the nvrams were cheap.
is that a 1.5F 5V cap?

Yes...it's a 1.5F cap.
1F works too.
I do have one of Rob Anthony's AnyPin boards in my RoboWar. It's very nice!

Quoted from Fishbeadtwo:

My BH is running BH2K software. Lane change, spot change, hurry up bonus, easier 2 ball multi and ball save I believe. Would this be excluded from the tourney?

Is that the same software that the highly modified BH I saw at the TPF was running?
If so, I'd love to give it a try.
